Our Family Beekeeping Journey
Our family’s beekeeping journey began with our father, who, as a young man, embarked on an adventure that would change our lives forever. One day, while searching for firewood, he noticed a log dripping with a substance resembling honey. Curiosity sparked, he peered inside and discovered a colony of bees, led by their queen. This remarkable sight inspired him to bring the log home.
A few weeks later, he decided to transfer the bees into three(3) beehive, known as a "Mzinga wa nyuki" in Swahili. To his delight, the bees thrived in their new home. Encouraged by their success, he sought out other logs containing honey and purchased them from fellow locals, relocating even more bees into hives. The bees flourished in this new environment, and soon our family expanded as well.
Mr. Philipo married a lovely wife Eunice, and together they welcomed five beautiful children: Faith, Grace, Anna, Glory, and Eli-Giver. Philipo made it a priority to teach each child about the art of beekeeping, ensuring that the legacy of our family tradition would continue.
Today, our bees have become a significant attraction for both our family and our visitors. Each day brings new lessons and discoveries about these incredible creatures. We invite you to explore our passion for beekeeping and witness the magic of the bee world. Whether you're here for a tour or to learn, we are excited to share our journey with you.
